Summary

We all hit points in life where we have to stop, reflect, and maybe even pivot. Midlife especially can bring up those big questions: Am I really happy? Am I content with where I’m at? Or do I want to go in a new direction? The second you step out of your comfort zone and try something different, that’s when the self-doubt shows up. The “why I can’t” thoughts, the fear, the nerves they all come rushing in. Learning how to quiet that voice and keep moving anyway is a skill. It takes practice. And here’s the truth: it doesn’t matter how old you are it never really gets “easy.” Every new level or change in your life will bring a new set of challenges. But with each pivot, you also grow stronger, braver, and more capable of pushing through. Today, we’re going to talk about how to remove self-doubt, and the small things you can start doing right now to quiet that voice and move forward with confidence.   For more information visit: www.StephanieLynLifeCoaching.com   YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/StephanieLynCoaching LTK: https://www.shopltk.com/explore/StephanieLynStyle Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stephanielyncoach/ TikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMeg1m9pu/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephanielyncoaching   Thank you for your love and support! Hey guys, welcome back at this stage of life, being in midlife. I feel like we start to really

0:06.5

ask ourselves a lot of questions. Like, are we happy? Is this what we want to be doing for the

0:11.1

rest of our lives? Are we content in our relationship? Like, do we feel fulfilled? A lot of us go

0:15.4

through this reinvention period at this point in our life because we've done so much and we kind of like stop and pause and

0:22.8

we ask ourselves like hey are we even happy and when you start to ask yourself those kind of questions

0:27.1

you are opening yourself up to hear the word no and when we hear the word no that means that we

0:33.6

have to start doing something different it means we're going to probably need to go in a different

0:37.2

direction and that can be really scary and it can be really intimidating. It can be really

0:41.8

fun. You could be really excited. It really all depends on how much you were suffering and how much

0:47.7

you want something different now going forward. When we are at these pivotal points in our life,

0:52.6

we have this lovely inner voice called self-doubt that starts to creep in.

0:57.8

So perhaps you know what you want next for yourself, but you're filled with a lot of fear.

1:03.5

You're questioning yourself a lot and you feel really unsure.

1:06.0

This little pit inside of yourself that's giving you all of this information. I don't know. I'm unsure. I'm

1:11.4

questioning everything. I'm fearful. It's going to come from a lot of different places.

1:15.3

The first place could possibly be a past experience. If you went through something before and it

1:20.0

didn't work out, then the chances of you thinking that it may not work out again is highly

1:24.8

likely. And this is just the way that your brain actually works is it

1:28.6

remembers things. It doesn't remember things accurately. It's not there to really help you.

1:33.4

Sometimes it can actually hurt you, but it's there because it has a memory of something that you

1:38.0

did and it doesn't want you to make the same mistake again, quote unquote. So it gives you fear,

1:42.5

it gives you self-doubt, so you can be so
