Tips on surviving isolation and a reminder that we're all alone together.

When we all started staying home a couple weeks ago, I started thinking about older people a lot.

Older people tend to be more isolated than younger people.

And that's for a lot of different reasons.

Maybe it's because they've retired.

Maybe it's because they've lost a spouse or their siblings or some of their close friends.

And then older people are also the most vulnerable to this coronavirus.

And so it just seemed like this kind of cruel irony that the people who are already isolated are now being forced to further isolate.

And we also know that isolation has really negative health consequences for older people.
