How do you answer people who are extremely frustrated to the point of being depressed at the inability to take any direct action?

So, depressed is a difficult word because it comes with all sorts of attachments to it.

You should be grieved over what's happening to our brothers and sisters in Gaza.

You should be depressed in a certain way, right, over what's happening to our brothers and sisters

in Gaza without the elements

of despair. If the Prophet's Saisa mentioned that we feel the pain of finger or a toe or

something in the body that aches, the smallest thing, the toothache, and we used to give these examples.

We talk about that hadith from the messenger of Allah, sallu, that you while you're caused the fever by a toothache well subhannalah now our umma is being cut

limb by limb we've seen more limbless people in the last two years than than ever before

may Allah forgive us for our inability to to do more in our inaction in that regard the

omma is being chopped into pieces now.

It's not a toothache.

It's not a, you know, it's not something that's invisible that the body feels and a sickness

that then causes the fever.

And so it's a sign of imam to be grieved.

It's a sign of the lack of iman to not care.

It's a sign of iman to be gripped by the photos and the videos as you

scroll through your screen and to sit there for a moment and take a break from what you're doing

and cry and make du'a for those people. It's a sign of an evil, sick, distracted heart at the least to scroll through to your next favorite video or to something funny

because you don't want to be grieved right now.

I don't want to see this right now.
