Allaheim, al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-aqaimanii, and a-aqa'aqi-aubiiiiii and Abhdiiqa and your Muhammad, Sall Allah, a al-hiyah, and his So in Shalom, tisemis Kathirah. So, inshallah, to-ana, tonight s'm going to be speaking about the adopted grandson of the prophet

sallalā'a aene and I actually wanted to, subhallah, start off with a reflection.

Is anyone in here named Usama?

We've got any Osama's here?

All right.

None of the sisters are named Osama, right?

Mahmada, good. I remember, subhannalah, when 9-11 happens, and I specifically remember a conversation right after 9-11 where a father was asking for permission to change his son's name from Usama because of the

danger of being named Usama in this country in a post-9-11 world. And,

subhanna, I can explicitly remember growing up with more Usama's prior to 9-11 than after 9-11,

right? Like you look back at how people would name their children before September 11th,

and it was actually a pretty common name.

And then after September 11, it's like, whatever you do, don't name your kid withama,

because that's going to attract some sort of unwanted attention and hardship.

And in that process, I'm thinking because one of the best things that happens to me as someone who teaches the lives of the companions of the Prophet's L'A.S.L.A.S.L. is that when I go somewhere in the world and someone comes up to me and says, I name my kid so-and-so after I heard your lecture about so-and-so. And I say, al-h-h-h-h-a-law make your child like that person.

May Allah, aza-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-in-a, that intention to materialize.

And so my goal is that someone's going to name their kid Usama after this,

inshallah, Allah, and to speak about Osama bin Zaid,

is incredibly special.
