Any of us who experience something strange

convince ourselves that what we experienced wasn't strange,

that it was just part of an overactive imagination,

a function of the brain like paradolia,

or that there has to be some sort of reasonable explanation.

Some of us are willing to take another look,

or perhaps a loop around the block,

to verify what we think we might have seen.

And sometimes, the experience itself leaves a trail of feedback that's too loud to ignore.

My name is Amalia, and this is a story from about 10 years ago.

It was me, my dad, and my brother.

We were driving to the post office that is in downtown Yakima, Washington.

Now this area where the post office is is kind of like the original part when the town

was incorporated.

And it used to be called North Yakima.

A lot of the buildings are kind of Victorian style.

And we're driving to the post office, so probably like 4, 5 p.m.

And it was right before Thanksgiving. And there is this old building. It's called the

Taiton building now, I believe, and it's right next to, it's called the Dragon Inn Garage.
