While both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer

Male reindeer dropped their antlers at the beginning of winter in late November

Female reindeer keep their antlers until the spring.

This means all of Santa's reindeer, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be female.

She goes on to say, we should have known only women would be able to drag around a fat man

in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.
