Well, it's happening, folks.

The ringleaders of the January 6th attack are finally facing accountability for their crimes.

I've said it here many times on this show and others that the wheels of justice may turn slowly, but nevertheless they continue to turn. And this time it's a big

fish, Stuart Rhodes, who is facing nearly two decades in a federal prison. The Oathkeeper's

founder is the first January 6th defendant sentenced for seditious conspiracy.

And it's the longest prison term yet in the Justice Department's sprawling probe into the capital attack.

On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Amit Mata sentenced Rhodes to 18 years.

That's 18 very long fucking years, telling the 58-year-old that he presents an ongoing threat to the country.

Seeking a 25-year term, federal prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memorandum that Rhodes, and I can I quote,

proposed that he and other oathkeeper members and affiliates forcibly opposed the lawful

transfer of presidential power from Donald Trump to Joe Biden. Prosecutors wrote that Rhodes

pushed the idea amongst oathathkeeper members and others

that were the large enough mob, they could intimidate Congress and its members and impose the

conspirators will rather than the American people to stop the certification of the next

president of the United States.
