Folks, as Americans in 24 states have been out choosing candidates in what amounts to

our country's first ever national presidential primary.

I'm Luke Burbank, here with Dave Ross and Dory Monson.

Tonight we're going to bring you up to the minute coverage from across the country plus

analysis from right here in our East Lake studios.

And speaking of that analysis, let's get right into it guys.

There have been a lot of super Tuesdays in the history of this country, but not a super duper

mega Tuesday of this caliber.

Why is this super duper mega?

Why is this so unprecedented?

Because there's more hours of programming that need filling.

I was saying to you off the air, Luke, four years ago, super Tuesday was kind of a big

deal.

It wasn't like this.

And I think it's been assigned outsized importance tonight.

I know clearly it's significant, but I'm still not sure that this is quite the dramatic

ground breaking important tonight that a lot of people want to make it out to me.
