Good morning, everyone. I'm Chief Playbook correspondent Eugene Daniels. It is Thursday, February 20th. Here is what's driving the day. Voterrama lives, for now at least.

Yesterday, President Donald Trump threw a curveball at Senate Republicans by endorsing

the House's one bill approach to his legislative agenda. You've heard him call it one big,

beautiful bill for a while. But that doesn't mean that the Senate GOP will halt their plans.

When VP J.D. Vance met yesterday with the conference, he told them that the president needs a backup plan,

which they interpreted as a green light to continue with their two-bill strategy.

Which brings us to today, as the Senate sprints to the finish of its budget process with a voter

voterama on dozens of planned amendments, presuming it all goes as planned. It'll culminate in the Senate

adopting a budget resolution either very late tonight or tomorrow. Also, coming today, President

Trump's unprecedented effort to reshape the federal government is consuming Washington and much of the
