Over in Texas, deputies responded to a requested welfare check and found a woman dead.

They've since taken the victim's granddaughter and granddaughter's boyfriend into custody for the alleged murder.

In California, a man was arrested in connection to the hit-and-run death of a pregnant teenager.

And in Wyoming, two men were arrested after a text message connected both of them to an alleged murder.

On Thursday, February 6th, deputies with the Galveston County Sheriff's Office in Texas

responded to a home on the 4,700 block of 15th Street in Backliff for a requested welfare check.

The party who called in the welfare check explained that they hadn't heard from their friend,

61-year-old Tammy King, which was out of character.

When deputies arrived at the home, they tried to establish contact with Tammy, but were unable to do

so. A short while later, they were advised to make entry into the home to see if there was any sign of

Tammy. Upon entry, they discovered the body of a woman who was visibly deceased. It also appeared as if the victim had been dead for at least a few days by the time that it was discovered.

A later autopsy revealed that the victim was Tammy King.

It was also determined that her cause of death was found to be a gunshot wound to the head.

As Galveston County Sheriff's detectives began looking into Tammy's death, they learned

that she had been living with two people before her untimely death, that being her granddaughter,

17-year-old Tara King, and Tara's boyfriend, 19-year-old Uriah Uric, both of whom were seemingly

nowhere to be found. Detectives were able to identify both Tara and Uriah as potential suspects
