KCCI reports that on Monday, in Iowa, Jury found 66-year-old Jerry Burns guilty of the

1979 first-degree murder of 18-year-old Michelle Martenco and Cedar Rapids.

She faces a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Michelle Martenco's body was discovered in the early morning hours of December 20th, 1979.

She was found inside her family's Buick, which was parked in the parking lot of West

El Mald in Grand Rapids.

Michelle had gone to the mall at around 7-30 in the evening to buy a winter coat.

Her parents raised the alarm when she fell to return home later that night.

Michelle's body was discovered bloodied and curled up on the passenger seat floorboard.

She was fully clothed and there were no signs of sexual assault.
