Coming up on Sword and Scale Daily, a second suspect is charged with murder and connection

with the December stabbing of New York City College student, Tessa Majors.

In Washington, deputies arrested a woman and her 16-year-old daughter on suspicion that

they pretended to be baby photographers in order to kidnap a newborn.

A teenage boy suspected of murdering his mother and brother in Virginia has been taken

into custody in North Carolina.

Finally, in Florida, a married couple died in a shootout after allegedly setting up an

ambush for the wife's ex-husband.

On Saturday, the NYPD announced that a second suspect has been charged in connection with

the homicide of 18-year-old college student, Tessa Majors.

The suspect, 14-year-old Rashan Weaver, was taken into custody on Friday night after

he was indicted on second-degree murder and robbery charges.

New York Police Commissioner Dermott Shea stated,

quote, we are confident that we have the person in custody who stabbed her.

18-year-old Tessa Majors, a freshman at Bernard College, was fatally stabbed during a robbery

in Morningside Park just before 7 p.m. on December 11.

She was accosted by three boys on the steps leading from the park to a 116th street,

struggled with them, and was stabbed during the struggle.
