Let's dive right in.

As I mentioned, this episode is called mugshots,

and Frank Carson, in his mugshot,

seems to have put on full display his disdain for authority.

This whole moment, to me, seems to say a lot about him. And I wondered what you

take away from this whole mugshot episode. Well, for the DA, it's another example of what they

describe as his good old country boy facade, which they say he used on juries for so many years,

and which they say is a smokescreen for his sinister side but for carson it's a gesture of defiance his expression in this mugshot he wants to

signal that he's not going to crawl like a dog in his words and he's not going to give his adversaries the satisfaction of

showing pain or fear, even though at the point that this mugshot has taken, he's facing life

behind bars. So it's a very unusual mugshot. It's the photo that ran most often with the news

and TV coverage of this case. I've got to say he looks surprisingly happy and upbeat in the photo.
