I was sitting here with Lockelawny. It's our date day. Every Friday we have a date day.

And I was thinking about how terrifying it must have been for the disciples to see Jesus walking on water in the middle of the night.

The Bible says it was the fourth watch.

So it was around like 3 a.m.

The darkest of the dark, the furthest away from the sun.

So it's the middle of the night.

And out of all the things that they could see,

they see someone walking in the middle of the storm.

I mean, talk about terrifying.

I know it's like spooky season right now and we don't really celebrate Halloween, but there's

a lot of people talking about this is scary, that's scary, this movie is scary.

There's nothing more frightening than Jesus.

And what Jesus is doing right then and there is he is showing his control over the water,

control over the seas, but he's also showing that there's only one person in the world that we should be

afraid of. It's not Freddy Kruger. It's not Slender Man. It's not Jason X or whatever. It's him. He is the only one we should ever fear.

And he's actually giving us the power to fear no one and to fear nothing by him doing the most

fearful, frightening thing that we could ever imagine. And that is walking on the water in the

middle of a storm. I mean, really try to get yourself there in your mind's eye. Think about

how terrifying that would be to be in the middle of the storm, in the middle of the night,

no light, and to see a figure walking towards you. I mean, talk about

scary. The Bible tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. What that
