I am your friend Bob from graduate school way back when a therapist in practice here in Seattle as well in case people don't know our backstory they might be new to the podcast or they've forgotten Bob and I went to graduate school together starting in 1995.

We met on our very first day of class.

so have an introductory class that kind of acclimates you to graduate school and the basics of theory and technique and that was the course we were taking

and there was only like six or seven students and in true Antioch form we were sitting in a circle no desk and in a chair like a

kumbaya circle or something. I will say that that always bothered me because I'm a note

taker and I also it's a little too vulnerable in a sense especially if you I

don't know that well and so back then in the mid

90s Antioch almost never had tables I don't know if remember but there was

almost never tables the other thing is there's no one had

laptops back then and so you didn't really need a and most people anyway.

Point is is that now every class it's always tables it's weird it's like very different feel

at Antioch anyway because that's where I teach but anyway Bob and I met and I looked up to him. He was a little bit older than me and he knew a lot more about
