Well folks, it's almost Father's Day and it's actually my first Father's Day

as a father. Our baby girl, Charlotte, just turned four months old and I have to admit

it's finally getting fun. For one, she actually acknowledges me now and not just with that

usual hey schmuck look that I got in those first couple of months. She also looks considerably

less like an alien than she did in those early days and now I can honestly say that I have an

objectively cute baby. And best of all, she's developing a personality of her own, a personality

than I kind of like. But it wasn't always that way to be perfectly honest, it was pretty touching

go for a while. No, actually it was miserable. Admittedly, there was a fair degree of skepticism

on both sides of that relationship and I kind of understand why some first time dads feel like a

third wheel in their own family. You see, that's the kind of thing that no one ever tells you.

Parents lie to you. They lie, lie, lie, lie. They say, you'll fall in love with your baby when

she's born or it'll be the greatest joy of your life from day one or you won't feel exhausted

because the baby will give you energy. Bullshit, not true, not true at all. But the one person who
