I have studied sports in my life. I have a Master's degree in it and this week we are catching you up after our major charity livestream with St. Jude doing a fantasy football draft.

I am going to be teaching Mark how fantasy football works as well as you so you can follow along to see how well we do.

I think there is favoritism. Why?

I think there is football favoritism because people pick favorite players.

No, I think there is football favoritism on this podcast because we have already done a football primer and yet here we are doing fantasy football.

Why?

Okay, the reason I am doing fantasy football is the gateway for a lot of people to become fans of football.

It has become a major industry since it became hugely adopted with the advent of the internet.

The internet's ability to track stats and it has exploded in popularity.

CBS Sports who we worked with on the fantasy draft for St. Jude, they created their fantasy football league, their online platform in 1997.

That is not that long ago.

All of these sports that we have today that we play have existed for tons and tons of years.

Some hundreds, some thousand, some like 50 years.

But it has become a major industry in the world.

Fantasy football for the American football, fantasy baseball, fantasy golf, like fantasy sports in general has been an advent and a new avenue within sports within recent times.
