1:03.5	And it's really nice to have you back, Tom. I've been over to West Dean many times now to write about

1:12.5	glass houses there. And so when I was thinking about getting a guest to talk about forcing
1:18.4	bulbs, either for the house or in the greenhouse, you immediately sprung to mind. So that's why
1:25.0	we have Tom with us here today. So welcome Tom again. Hello. Yes,
1:29.4	really pleased to be here. Virtually. Virtually. Exactly. So I remember I first came over there to,
1:37.4	I think the first trial that I visited in terms of bulbs was hyacinths. And you can imagine one of those beautiful Victorian glasshouses.
1:47.9	And those of you don't know West Dean, it's probably famous, the garden is famous for its glass
1:52.7	houses or anything and the incredible standard of trained fruit. But Tom had actually done this
1:59.1	thing, which was rather radical when he first arrived,
2:02.0	which is, as well as having that beautiful train fruit on the back walls,
2:06.4	the whole of the first bay of one of the Victorian glass houses was completely full of hyacinths.
2:12.9	And the smell as he opened the door was absolutely extraordinary.
