Bad Grandma.

My mom told me this over dinner a few years back like it was no big deal.

When I was six, my grandma on my mother's side wanted me to sleep over at her place for the

weekend.

It's noteworthy that my grandma never really liked me. I remember her as a cold witch, six-year-old brain.

Her housekeeper was nicer to me than she was. My mom said, no, no, she's not going to sleep

over at your house.

Granny got really angry.

Saying something along the lines of, you will regret this.

Time passed.

My mom didn't hear from her mother for a while. My mom went to the house to check up on her.

Well, my grandma had committed suicide with sleeping pills. Here's where it gets creepy. My mother found

my grandma's diary. Her last entry were things like,

My granddaughter is rotten, needs to be killed, and it's my job to do so. My name was in her calendar for that weekend.

Basically, my grandma wanted to kill me when I was six.

I'm really glad my mom trusted her gut and said no to the deadly sleepover.

Also, same grandmother took my mother to a children's doctor who was known to have euthanized kids during

W.W.

Nazi Germany.

When my mom found out as a grown-up, she asked her mother, why on earth would she take her to that

doctor?

Grandma's answer was a cold answer.
