As you can see by the title of this particular video, it is a heavy topic, and I don't take it lightly.

I also realize that my Calvinistic friends may not appreciate the title or the topic because of its emotion.

I often have heard Calvinist object when we've talked about these kinds of subjects

because they feel as if we're only addressing them because of their emotional appeal.

And they will say you're making an emotive argument.

What I think we have to be reminded of, however, is that we are emotional creatures.

God is as much sovereign, if you will, over our mind as he is over our emotions.

And I don't think anyone would suggest or should suggest that we should ignore completely

And there are difficult hot button topics when it comes to these sociological issues.

One of my degrees is an applied theology.

And the reason they call it applied theology is because it's a

theology that didn't just stay in the diademes. It's practical. It's applied. In other words,

how do you apply what you believe? Is it a tenable way of believing? Is it a tenable way of living

life? Do you live life like you believe? Or do you say you believe one thing and then live

something else? This is one of the reasons I've criticized the Calvinistic view and some even

Calvinists who say things like, well, believe like a Calvinist, but live like an Armenian or preach

like an Armenian or something of that nature.

And that's just, in my estimation, more of a duplicitous way of looking at things.

I think we should be able to believe things that are actually consistent with our actions because I think the scriptures teach us a very consistent doctrine that we don't have to
