Enjoy this video podcast on Spotify and Youtube! In both life and design, Laetitia Gorra, Founder and CEO of Roarke Design Studio, believes everything will fall into place. Her entrepreneurial journey has proven to be exactly that. From assistant buyer at Bergdorf's to jewelry designer and fashion consultant, it seems one door after another opened as Laetitia followed her interests eventually leading her to designing workspaces that rethink today's workplace. Having been hired with zero experience to be the Head of Interiors at The Wing, Laetitia learned just how much the design of a space can influence how people work and what they are inspired by. In a post-pandemic world, Laetitia is redefining the workspace by going against the norms of society. By blending both functionality and beauty, Laetitia hopes to help companies get employees back into the workplace. Today's guest is Letitia Gora.

1:13.8

She's the founder of Rourke Design Studio.

1:15.6

I first became aware of her designs far in advance of ever having known who she was when I

1:21.0

walked into my favorite crepandemic co-working space, The Wing.

1:26.5

Leticia had put her stamp all over that place. In fact, I loved it so

1:30.1

much that I made my bathroom a carbon copy of the bathroom at said wing. Cut to a couple of years

1:36.5

later, she emailed me in and I was so excited to understand her process from going from a jewelry

1:42.1

designer to an interior designer, how she scaled the company,

1:45.9

and what was the catalyst that drove her to quit her day job, take a chance, and explore

1:51.7

and soar in the world of interior design. Take a listen. Leticia, welcome to the podcast.

Thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited to be here. I have to share when I saw the inbound email and it said that you designed the wing, I was like, well, my bathroom was inspired by the bathroom. So I live in the same building as the Dumbo one. Oh, I love it. And so I have a Tarasso bathroom. Nice. And it was based, it was like, I was like, we need to copy this bathroom exactly. So thank you for that. Of course. My husband might paint you a little bit for he's like, why is our, all of our bathrooms are pink with Tarazzo? We had to step away from the pink at the end. I know. It had a good run. It did have a very good run, for sure. That whole era, that pink era, was great.

So what I found fascinating about your story is you were a jewelry designer before you ever got into interior. So I'd love for you to start there. It was Rourke, New York.
