I recently responded in an episode to an email

in which someone wanted to date their therapist.

She said that she had a large romantic and sexual attraction to her therapist and she

wanted to date her therapist and she had heard my other talks on the podcast

about this warning against that and also talking to podcast about how to

also talking to clinicians out there about how to handle situations in which the

client is attracted to and how to have boundaries and how to act ethically

and how to predict problems that usually happen

when therapists and clients break those boundaries.

And although I've had many episodes about this topic,

I find that a lot of the listeners or a subset of the listeners, whenever I talk about it, I get a lot of emails.

And so, and this one was no exception, or maybe it was the greatest amount of emails I received

after talking about it. I received a lot of

emails from people writing in saying that they had experienced blurred

boundaries with their therapist to varying results.

Some people were talking about how they were harmed by the massive blurry boundary

issues with their therapist and some people said that it wasn't a problem.

And so I thought in this episode I would read all of those emails that I received the past couple

days and talk about them, analyze them and comment on them as a way for

both therapists and clients to understand the landscape of boundaries because it whenever we talk about boundaries
