I've been covering the tech world for a very long time and I don't remember a week

where things have been this crazy since probably the early days of Twitter.

So before we jump into our feature interview today,

I'm going to sit down with my editor John Kelly to take 15 minutes

discuss what in God to Earth happened at Uber this week,

and perhaps more importantly, what's behind Amazon's great

avocado price drop at Whole Foods, and of course we'll talk about what the new iPhone I

ate might do to cure world peace. This is of course followed by our regular schedule programming.

Nick, I want to ask you it's a big week in Silicon Valley this has sort of been

Uber's week they have a new CEO hypothetically speaking if you had like a billion dollars in the company, would you be psyched

right now?

I think if I had a billion dollars in the company, I would not be wasting my time talking

to you with all due respect but I would probably be you

know to have a plane or a boat or a few planes or a few boats I think that one of

the things that for people that do have a billion dollars in the company is that they are

worried that it will become a little less than a billion which is why there's been so much turmoil over the last couple of weeks.

I mean, I've been covering these chaotic companies

for a long time.

Twitter, of course, being the main example of that.
