I want to narrow the focus of the episode to young men of faith. I'm talking about our teenagers,

our college students, 20-something, those who have not yet found that one they love, those who have,

those who have started a family. There are some consistent things you can do, you can think about, you can control yourself in, that will make this one of the greatest periods of your life.

And I say one of, because a good start almost guarantees a great finish in terms of life, service to the Lord, and family.

Our focus today is on Proverbs chapter 31,

which ought to confuse you a little bit. We normally think of that chapter as one design to

help godly young women, to learn how to be a wonderful wife and mother. And there is a large

chunk of that chapter devoted to such, and we

certainly will touch on that. But I think what surprises people is that Proverbs 31, firstly, was not

written by Solomon. It's a single chapter written by a man named King Lemuel. And he's not

writing up a prescription for the perfect wife. In fact, what he's doing in this

chapter is he's recounting the wonderful, godly advice that he had gotten from his mother. There were
