Nehemiah chapter 13, verse 31.

Remember me, oh my God, for good.

These are the last words that Nehemi speaks in the book that bears his name.

They're the last words in the entire book. Nehemi speaks in the book that bears his name. They'll last words in the entire book.

Nehemiah looking to God in light of all he's done and saying,

remember me, oh my God, for good.

And I read this and I just think,

yes, like when I get to the end, when you get to the end of your life, when one day you and I stand before God himself, don't we want by his grace, oh, only by his grace, to hear him say, well done, good and

faithful servant.

Like, stand at your grave, at your coffin.

Don't you want to hear those words on that day?

And if so, then let's live that way today. Let's serve him

faithfully. Let's do all the good work he's put on our hearts to do by his good hand. That's the beauty of the

book of Nehemiah over and over again. Nehemiah has pointed to

God's grace, how all the good he's been able to do is because of God's good hand upon him.

Know this. Today, God's good hand is upon all who desire to do the good work He calls us to do. God will give us the

grace we need to live good and faithful lives as his servants. So let's just pray this to God

today. God to help us today in every way with every thought, with every desire, every word,

every action, everything we do today, every interaction with people, God help us to do that which

is good and faithful before you as your servant. God, we delight. I think about Nehemiah in chapter one the way that prayer

ends, your servants who delight in fearing your name as Nehemiah prayed for success and doing the work
