It is such a happy thing to be here at Gateway.

I'd like to speak with you this morning, about faith when you can't see a thing.

Faith when you can't see a thing.

If you'd open your Bibles to the Gospel of Luke chapter 18.

And I want to look at the story of Bardemaeus. He's called Blind Bardemaeus. His name is not used in this passage of scripture, but it is in the

10th chapter of the Gospel of Mark where in the synoptic

Gospels you also find this the record of this event. So we know his name

because of Mark's reference to him by name.

We're looking in this passage of scripture, though,

and choosing the Luke passage.

It's just slightly longer, and there's a couple of things

here that are the angle. Each of the synoptists give you a Matthew, Mark,

and Luke give you a triangulation on a number story so that you get multiple perspectives

on the same event.

As we look at this story, I want to talk with you about those times we cannot see,

we can't see a thing.
