You know, sometimes I think we get attached and we revere and we feel a lot of emotions around pretty famous historical statements, whether they come from politicians or the movies or books, and we take them as

gospel in our lives. It's like Yoda saying, do or do not, there is no try. The one I want to speak to you about today is this one.

Failure is not an option.

Right, we've heard this a lot.

This has to do with NASA, right?

Forgive me, I don't even know the origin of this. this has to do with NASA, right?

Forgive me, I don't even know the origin of this statement,

but I'm guessing it's a pretty famous movie

or something in history where everyone was saying failure isn't an option because we save us a lot in our lives.

We use it as a joke, it's a meme, and I want to actually say that failure is in fact an option and it's what we're made for it's what

we're built for we are built to fail, learn, repeat.

Fail, learn, repeat.

If you're online and you're seeing someone

going failure isn't an option, it can feel like,

yeah, like this is the truth,

and we've got to get real and get serious. But what if we're a bit

more gentle about it? Understand that failure, however we deem it, isn't desirable, but yeah, of course it's an option and it will forever be an option because there's no way around it.

Maybe you feel like you're failing at something right now or you've failed at something recently

and it just makes you feel bad right? It's when we get unwanted outcomes in our lives we never want to

celebrate them they never feel good.

But the real issue is, we judge ourselves for an outcome. The outcome itself is a neutral thing. We can look at it. There is gold, there is data, there is information in a failure.
