connection, celebration, and purpose. We're talking today about warring for your spouse,

fighting for your spouse's soul. This is something that I think so often we get focused on the issue,

right? In our marriage, it's like it's in

the natural. We're seeing this issue. And we've never really talked or been taught how to war for

our spouse or to see that's what's unseen. And Ephesians is a fabulous book of the Bible,

and we often pull out chapter five as this marriage passage and it's wonderful it's talking about

you know wives submit to your husbands husbands love your wives as Christ love the church and it's great

but we focus on that as if it's like standing on its own but I would challenge you this week to read

Ephesians from the beginning to the end chapters one through six without the breaks without the

divisions of verse and chapters.

And I want you to just read it in its context because what you'll see is in chapter four,

what Paul is telling the Ephesian church, he's saying, wake up, oh sleeper, wake up,

and expose the enemy, expose what lies in the dark, because what lies in the dark has power

until it's exposed to the light. And then he talks about marriage, and then he moves into chapter

six, where he says, and finally, brothers, right? And finally, finally, here's what I want you to do,

put on the full armor of God because we have to

armor up. And this is not armoring up between me and my husband, that I am protected from him.

We are one flesh. So it's armoring up our marriage because the enemy has come the spiritual forces and wickedness

and the principalities there are all against our marriage their only agenda is to steal,

kill, and destroy. And I, for one, am sick and tired of the enemy coming to steal,

kill, and destroy that which is not rightfully his.
