Don't let your phone win.

Today I was on a walk early in the morning, needing to just get out.

And with the raging of the world right

now, I don't know if it's just me, but I've been struggling, fighting the fear, the anxiety,

the unrest, and yet knowing when I sit with the father, I am still and I am assured,

and I walk out with courage and confidence to know what he is

asking me to do and I feel peace, truly. But as soon as I open my phone and I start scrolling

and it's much like what I have heard a story of a cage tiger and've put this tiger in his giant space at the zoo,

where he had all this room to roam.

But what they noticed is every day he would walk this same path, even though he had so much

space, he walked this path and it wore this trail around his giant enclosed cage. And yet every morning

he would walk the same path, the same path. And I think it's very similar to our phones.

We pick them up and we just get on this path and we just walk the route and we check and we

open social media we open

Instagram or Facebook or Twitter and we go and we just mindlessly follow this path. We open

our email, we scroll, we get overwhelmed, we open social media, we listen to all the opinions,

we get overwhelmed and yet we allow it and we allow it.

And we just like these caged tigers, we just keep opening and just getting on this trail.

And I was asking the Lord this morning, when I'm with you, I feel peace, I feel at home,
