So today we're talking about a topic that I think pretty much also a struggle with at some

point, which is how to shop for fabric with intention. So we're going to cover how to understand

your personal style when shopping for fabric, practical strategies for creating a more cohesive

stash, and how to make choices you'll feel good about long after you leave

the fabric store. All right, Haley, our icebreaker question for today is what's the longest you've

had a piece of fabric in your stash before finally using it? So when I first started sewing, one of my, like,

very first fabric purchases was this quilting cotton that was the designer's

Heather Ross and she had all these like she still makes fabric I believe all these like whimsical kind of

like fairy tale fabrics and there was this mermaid one and it's like little kid mermaids and it's very like cute

and minimalist style and I saw it I fell in love with it and. And it's very like cute and minimalist style. And I saw it. I fell in love with it.

And the colors, it's like peach and tangerine and white and brown. And I was like, I'm going to

buy this and I'm going to, I'm going to have a daughter someday. And I'm going to make a blanket for her.

Mind you, it was like 17.

And but then I did have a daughter.

And in like 2020, I made Charlie a blanket out of it.

And she sleeps with it on the end of her bed every night.

And it's so cute. And when I when I see it just makes me think of

like my like really young hopeful self and and then I got what I wanted that's so sweet I manifested it

I love that and that's so special that you were able to turn it into that thing that you dreamed of when you were only 17.

That's so cool.
