Always one of the most candid conversations you'll hear anywhere in media is me talking to Homan because there's facts, there's jokes. At some point, my life is usually in danger. This interview had all of it. So without further ado, Tom Holman, believe the hype, he wins the game ball. Do I look like I'm making progress since the last time we hung out, or do I need to go back to the gym? No, you got a long ways to go, Jimmy. Tom Holman, everybody. Oh, man. Get him out of! I kid.

Well, I bring up turnarounds because I think the nation owes you a debt of gratitude for Minnesota and Minneapolis.

It looks like you've turned it around there.

Would you say?

Yeah, Minneapolis.

Minnesota is much less of a sanctuary state, the sanctuary city city because we got unprecedented levels of cooperation

from the state and the county. We're able to arrest more criminal aliens in the safety and security

of a jail rather than going on the streets happen to find them. Let me ask you this. There is a

caricature of you that's created by the media, okay, that the rest of us know isn't true, meaning you are here on America's side.

You've done this job under so many different presidents.

And it's the humanity of securing the border and deporting people that you're invested in.

It's not so much the politics, even though this becomes a political issue.

Are the Jacob Fries and the Tim Walters of the world surprised when they actually get to talk to you and see how reasonable you are?

Well, first of all, I'm not running a popularity contest.

I don't care what people think.

But I can tell you that my goal was to do what the president wanted me to do is de-escalate while enforcing immigration laws and

get cooperation. So I think, look, me and the governor, Waltz, and Mayor Fry and the AG, we're

not going to agree on a lot. But I think they all agreed when we sat down and had a real conversation

is it doesn't make sense. You say that I should be concentrating on public safety threats, but you lock us out of the jail. You can't square that. It don't make sense. So as I told them, more agents in the jail means less agents in the street. Because one agent can arrest one bad guy in the jail. You release them. Now we've got to send a whole few jobs team, which is about six guys. And because of all the hate out there, we had to send a security team to back them up. So you got 12 people on the street doing something that one person could have did in a jail. I think they got that. But they kind of had made a mess. Whether they realized it or not, the point is, this is something that could have went a lot

smoother had you had the cooperation that you ultimately secured. It would have went a lot smoother

if they weren't a sanctuary state or sanctuary city. It would have went a lot smoother if we didn't

have over 10 million illegal aliens across the border under Joe Biden while they claim the border

...
