Hi friends, this is Mary DeMuth and this is Pray Every Day where I pray through the Bible verse by

verse and it is such a joy and privilege to be able to do so. So thank you so much for joining me on this

seventh day of September. I hope that this is a day full of the presence of God. And I want to pray

for the person who feels like they haven't experienced God's

presence lately. Lord Jesus, I lift up my friend who feels maybe distant from you or maybe you've

been silent. I pray, Lord, that you would show them specifically that you are for them with them.

You hear them. You take note of them. They are not forgotten. They are not forsaken. You have inscribed them on the palms of your hands.

Lord, I pray that you would send a friend that would remind them of how much you love them.

I also pray for financial provision, especially if they're stressed about that. In Jesus' name.

Amen. Okay, today I'm reading Ezra chapter 9, the whole chapter in the

World English Bible, and this is what it says. Now, when these things were done, the princess

came near to me saying, the people of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, have not separated

themselves from the peoples of the lands, following their abominations, even those of the Canaanites,

the Hittites, the Parazites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons so that the holy offspring

have mixed themselves of the peoples of the lands. Yes, the hand of the

princes and the rulers have been sheaf in this trespass. When I heard this thing, I tore my garment

in my robe and pulled the hair out of my head and out of my beard and sat down confounded.

Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel were assembled to me because of

the trespass of the exiles, and I sat confounded until the evening offering. At the evening offering,

I rose up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe torn, and I fell on my knees,

and I spread out my hands to Yahweh, my God, and I said, my God,
