Hey everyone, this is Mary Demuth and this is Pray Every Day, where I have the joy and privilege of praying you through the Bible verse by verse.

Before I jump into today's passage in Ezra, I want to pray for someone with a back ache.

Lord, the back is kind of the center of our whole being, and if it hurts, everything hurts.

And so I pray that you would be mindful of my friend who's battling this pain.

I pray that you would bring new physicians into their lives to shed light on what's going on.

I pray if they have a high need for pain killers that you would help them not to be dependent on them.

I pray that there would be other solutions besides surgery, although

sometimes that's the solution. But of course, I also just pray, Lord, that you would just

flat out heal them even as I'm praying this right now. I believe that you're capable of doing

that. Relieve the pain of my friend, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, today we're going to

finish up Ezra chapter 8,

verses 24 through 36 in the World English Bible. And this is what it says. This is Ezra talking.

Then I set apart 12 of the chiefs of the priests, even Sherebaya, Hashabaya, and 10 of their brothers

with them, and weighed to them the silver, the gold, and the

vessels, even the offering for the house of our God, which the king, his counselors, his princes,

and all Israel, their present had offered.

I weighed into their hands, 650 talents of silver.

100 talents of silver vessels, talents of gold 20 bowls of gold weighing 1,000

derricks and two vessels of fine bright bronze precious as gold I said to them you are holy to

Yahweh and the vessels are holy the silver and the gold are a free will offering to

Yahweh the god of your fathers watch and keep them until you weigh them before the chiefs of the

priests the Levites and the princes of the father's households of Israel at Jerusalem in the rooms
