verses 16 through 18, where Peter tells us about some eyewitness testimony that really is transformational

for you and for me. We're going to get into

and pray with me before we dig in. Father, guide us to understand the significance of the fact that

Peter, along with John and others, I witnessed Jesus Christ and who he really was. So let's show us

how to rely on this testimony today.

In Jesus' name, amen. Okay, 2. Peter 1, 16 through 18. Peter is testifying to the people he's

writing to. He says, for we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power

and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But we were eyewitnesses of His Majesty.

For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was born to him by the

majestic glory, this is my beloved son with whom I am well pleased. We ourselves heard this very voice
