Today, tariffs.

The U.S. imposed more of them on Chinese imports earlier this week, 10%.

With President Trump punishing China for allowing the flow of the deadly drug fentanyl into the U.S.

Now, on Monday, China plans to retaliate by imposing tariffs on some American goods.

The president delayed for one month, 25% tariffs he'd threatened to impose on imports from Mexico

and a 25% tariff on most Canadian goods as well, after the leaders of both countries agreed to

increase border security and efforts

to stop fentanyl. Now, both Canada and Mexico have vowed to retaliate against U.S. exports if

these American tariffs on their imports are later imposed. And that is what we talked to

Kip Tom about. He's a farmer in northern Indiana.

We spoke to him right after he was on the Fox News channel sitting in a tractor with huge grain

silos behind him on his farm. He's also a former U.S. ambassador in the first Trump administration

to U.N. food agencies. So Kip Tom has a unique perspective on the

issues here and the worries here about inflation and the effect tariffs might have on agriculture
