Hi, everyone. This is Sally Clarkson and I'm so excited to have you with me today. We have

been planning all summer for what we think would be inspiring for you as you downloaded

our course and in whenever it with your children. And today I have the privilege of introducing

you to a musical part of the course that we will be doing every single month. And my partner

in crime in this whole area is my sweet friend, Terry Moon. Hi, Sally. Hey, I'm so glad you're here.

As you might have heard on our earlier podcast, Terry plays the violin. She's played in

string quartets in the Philharmonic. She plays in church. She has four children and our children

were raised together over similar arts and music and all sorts of books. And so I am so thrilled

that Terry is going to be going over why in the world we need to expose our children to great

music and why we can help cultivate in them an appetite for music. And she's going to be talking

with me every month about stories about composers, their character qualities, the things that

she learned from their lives with a little bit of music from each of these composers. So,

Terry, I can't wait for this. Welcome. Thank you, Sally. I am really passionate about this

subject actually and it's something that's been a really wonderful part of our home and our

children's lives. And even as I introduced it to them as children, they have carried this love

of great music into their adult lives. And I want to share that with other people. And I really

hope that this series is going to be inspiring and fun and kind of like an adventure for people.
