It's 446 days since Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

And shortly before 8am this morning, President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the UK and

took a helicopter to the country residence of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Mr Sunak dressed in a sharp suit, greeted Mr Zelensky wearing his green car key hooding

on the lawn of checkers.

Actually, the first foreign leader that I've had the privilege of welcoming here as Prime Minister.

The meeting was held in the Hortie room where Sir Winston Churchill made some of the

radio addresses that helped keep up morale during the Second World War.

There's a lot of great history here.

In fact, this room that we're standing in, Winston Churchill made many of his famous

speeches in World War II from this room.

And the same way today, your leadership, your country's bravery and fortitude or an inspiration

to us all, I look forward to us discussing what more we can do to support you in your country.

This privilege to be here, yes, the first time you said not the last.

Definitely not the last.

So, of course, we'll discuss very important issues, urgent support for Ukraine and security

for, I think, not only for Ukraine, it's important for all the Europe, so thank you.
