podcast, partner in crime, Ben Norton, here with me. We have a really video-intensive discussion lined

up about some of the most effective and deceptive mechanisms for cultivating support for regime

change wars and child starving sanctions in the U.S.

And it's vulnerable seeming defectors and dissidents.

And one in particular who is been getting a lot of screen time on

some of the most popular podcasts in the world, Yonmi Park. But whenever there's a country that the

U.S., where the U.S. wants to topple the government, you are suddenly going to have

your news coverage of that country flooded with defectors, dissidents, and they tend to be people

who you want to rescue. That's the sort of the CNN effect. It's the essence of the R2P responsibility to protect humanitarian

interventionist narrative. And the most famous defector today is Yonemi Park. Ben, I don't know if you

have any thoughts before we jump into, you know, what Yonemi's been up to, just about the general

phenomenon of defectors and dissidents.

Yeah, no, I mean, I think you hit the nail in the head.

It's one of the most effective and also just cynical tactics that these, you know, so-called

policymakers in Washington always use.

I hate that term policymaker.

The imperial planners, right?

They always

point to these people and use them as kind of props. And we've seen this so many times.

In fact, it didn't get a lot of attention, but there was a very similar case. I'll find a photo
