An overview of the Primarks.

The Imperium of Mankind is a faction containing quadrillions upon quadrillions of people,

meaning that only an infinitesimally small percentage of them are going to stand out in the

history books.

Sometimes these standout figures are normal humans, such as Caiaphas Cain or Sly Marbo.

Others are great Astartes, such as Logan Grimnar or Dante of the Blood Angels.

Likely the most well-known individuals, however, outside of the Emperor of Mankind himself,

are the Primarchs, the Emperor's sons created in his image.

Since their creation, the Primarks have been everything from humanity's greatest heroes

to their greatest enemies, leading great wars both for and against the Imperium.

Each of the Primarchs was separated from the Emperor at birth, scattered across the galaxy,

resulting in each of them developing vastly different personality traits,

methods of warring, and cultural identities.

This video will serve as a general overview for all of them, briefly going over the origins

and histories, without delving too far into the details.

To begin with, let's take a brief look at the origin of the 20, or technically 21, primarks.

Their creation goes back quite a number of millennia, to around the 29th millennium,

back on Terra.

The Emperor of Mankind wished to create a number of generals from his own genetic stock to lead his warriors into

battle in order to reunify Terra.

To recap, by the 29th millennium, humanity had already gone through a great age of technology,

becoming quite advanced and spreading across the stars.
