The word vampire was first used in the 18th century when a book was published called Travels with Three English Gentlemen.

But tales of blood-sucking creatures are practically timeless and cross all cultures.

Sumbly vampires were demons summoned in an ancient Egyptian ceremony and have walked the earth for thousands of years.

But here's what I find so fascinating about vampires.

Before sea travel and trade connected countries and continents, we find legends of these vampires in every culture.

There's an ancient Babylonian story about a woman named either Lillitu or Lillu

who caused her victims to be anemic, a sure sign of blood loss.

A thousand years ago the Vikings told spooky stories about the Dragoor, which loosely translates to
