The foundation deals with a lot of inexplicable things, as that's primarily their job.

Oftentimes they'll get a somewhat decent grasp on how an anomaly functions or what exactly it is, sometimes going

so far as to being able to fully explain an anomaly. Other times, however, they're left in the

dark, as certain things are simply inexplicable to human understanding. SCP 7660 is an odd one, an anomaly that leaves us with just as many questions as it

does the foundation.

Let's take a look.

SCP 7660 has a fairly rare situation of having its object class expunged, with a footnote

simply reading that recovery is ongoing.

7660 is a biological entity of unknown origin contained within an olive-green, steel-reinforced

crate, approximately two meters on each side. One side of the crate is labeled with a red stamp

reading Department of Abnormalities, a long lost section of the foundation that even the

foundation has forgotten about, and a stamp on the opposite side reading biological cargo

with a question mark.

Visual examination of the entity is possible through a rectangular viewing port on another

side of the crate, but has produced indeterminate results.

The crate has proved opaque to all other attempted imaging techniques, and audio analysis has been similarly

inconclusive.

Attempts to view the entity have been stymied due to an optical anomaly, as looking into

the port instantly causes the viewer's perspective to shift to the inside of the crate,

looking out of the port.
