Hello it's Antrice and welcome to another episode of the Savvy Painter

podcast. Before I get going on this week's episode I have to tell you there's so

much going on behind the scenes that I just really need to tell you about because I think you'll be excited.

I'm pretty excited.

First off, we just finished an amazing

still life still life paintings.

It was just so fun and just so fulfilling to see the massive growth that happened in the six weeks

that we were all together.

And I also wanted to let you know that I will be teaching a workshop on values in April and

registration is open now.

So the reason why I wanted to teach this course

is because I've noticed that artists tend to look

at paintings past and present

and think things like, wow, I love the way that that artist turned the

form on the far side of the cheek I wish I knew exactly what color they used so they

go out on a hunt for the perfect pigment.

They buy tons of colors trying to figure it out.

What they don't realize oftentimes is that color can impact turning of the form,

yes.

But it's the values that do the heavy lifting. You might. of the credit. Get the values right and then you can use color temperature to make those delicious subtle

nuances in form. But if your values are off, I hate to break it to you. You'll never get there by changing
