Today's 10 minute walk is helping you stay fitness consistent and is happening in Washington,

D.C., one of the most walkable cities in the world.

So let's take a walk.

I am walking alongside the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, and I'm actually walking towards

the Lincoln Memorial as I turn around and walk

backwards for a moment. I can see the Washington Monument and well beyond that, the U.S. Capitol

Dome. The Washington Monument, they started construction on that in 1848. And you can go to the top.

You can either, it doesn't cost anything you can either reserve tickets

online those actually cost a dollar or you can get the tickets they have available starting at

The Washington Monument is the tallest structure in the city. And I have been at the top a couple of times,

but it's been probably decades since I visited the top. A couple of times when I've been here

I thought, it'd be kind of fun to go to the top and I walk past the monument and that line is a little forbidding.

So between the monument and the Lincoln Memorial and I'm now walking towards the Lincoln

Memorial it's an 18-minute walk from Monument 2 Memorial you can visit the

Lincoln Memorial it is no charge when I get there I think I'm going to climb the

steps are 87 steps from the base of the memorial up to where Lincoln is sitting.

By the way, the statue of Lincoln, he's sitting if he stood up.
