I did something yesterday while I was walking that I haven't done in a long, long, long time.

Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013, averaging about 21,000 steps a day.

I'm walking right now and would love to have you join me for the next 10 minutes.

It is a mostly cloudy morning sunrise, probably still another 20 minutes away.

A little darker than I'm used to. Slightly breezy. Maybe you can hear that. I'm walking

near the airport. You can probably hear that as well. Temperature is comfortable.

It feels really good.

This is in many ways well within my weather comfort zone.

I think we all have a comfort zone parameters that when the weather fits within, you know, these,

they're not even extremes, but there's the parameter that, okay, this starts getting to be a little too

cold, this little too hot, a little too windy, a little too wet, a little too dry, whatever.

We have those parameters, and if you're wired like me, you prefer when you walk outside at

the weather be in that comfort box that you've created. Yesterday, I stepped outside that comfort box.

So I was getting ready to leave on a walk, and I checked my weather app, and it said that

rain may form within the next 60 minutes, which I've learned as kind of a hit or miss thing.

Skies were cloudy, and I thought, okay, because it's going to be a longer walk.

I'll take, put a baseball hat on, I'll take a plastic bag for my phone because I just am weird

that way.

But in that moment, decided not to take an umbrella. Left the house, walked to the end of my street, left the neighborhood,

was now beginning to walk down the main, a sidewalk along the main parkway towards the heart of our town.
