Andrew Orozco, to discuss the theological merit of, or demerit of dispensationalism, which is, kind of rules our land,

at least the Congress and a lot of the cultural landscape here in the South. Father,

how are you doing today?

Doing great. Yeah, actually, this is a timely topic. Very, very timely. And, you know, we don't, there's, there's this funny line where people want to talk about it, but not talk about it. Scott Hahn recently did an interview where he was being prompted. And you said, look, I don't, I don't want to bridge into the political I want to

stay theological as Catholics and that's that's possible to do without it without reifying a false

line between the political and theological because really the political is the theological so when

when you live or you dwell in the south here like I do,

where all of these Dispy churches, they're called Dispensationalist evangelical churches and

even parallel to evangelical Protestant churches, they are being taught a theological doctrine

that does influence the politics

downstream of them. Would you mind just starting us off by for the people out there that are

saying, why do evangelical Protestants all learn? Why are they all taught? Why do they all believe that the church, of course

they're Protestants, so they have a funky sense of church, but the church is not the same

thing as Israel, that Israel and the church are completely distinct, which is wrong.

You mean in the sense of how scriptures interpreted?

Sure, yeah.

So, yeah, I mean, it basically all boils down to the fact that the Jews who were formally, the chosen people, once they, according to the fathers of the Church, once they apostatized,

then the elect then shifts over to the members of the actual church,

which we would say the one Holy Catholic and apostolic church.
