Okay, we'll go ahead and get started, and when we get started

here, just a moment we'll be picking up at the beginning of Exodus chapter 33. So, by way of

recap, last time a lot of bad stuff happened. Sort of in every respect. Last time we talked

about the whole episode of Chapter 32 with the golden calf. So Aaron did bad things, Israel did

bad things. And then a lot of bad things happened to them as a result.

That's the very short version.

But we also saw within this, we saw Moses, despite his own anger at what the people did,

despite everything they've put him through,

we saw Moses still interceding for them before God, right?

Moses still pleading their case before God

and asking God that this not be sort of the end of those folks' story.

It's not yet, but it will be, but spoilers.

Because God said, you know, right at the end of chapter 32, we saw as God said to Moses

that there were still going to be consequences, right,

that we're going to unfold based on what happened.

And so we talked about how forgiveness doesn't mean, oh, now there's no consequences.

That part of repentance is accepting those consequences.

So as we pick up here at the beginning of chapter 33,
