Welcome to part two of this week's podcast.

We've been focusing on the Lord and his conversation with Moses.

Let's go back to Aaron and the people.

I think there's some kind of really interesting things that come up.

In chapter 32, verses 1 and 2, we've read verse 1, so Aaron said to the people, take off

the gold rings that are on the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and

bring them to me.

So all the people took off the gold rings from their ears and brought them to Aaron.

Notice verse 4, he, Aaron, took the gold from them, formed it in a mold, and cast an image

of a calf.

And they said, these are your gods.

So stay on that.

That's the storyline of what happens.

But then when we come to Moses, as he's talking to Aaron about it, verse 21, Moses says,

Aaron, what is going on?

What happened?

Verse 22, Aaron said, do not let the anger of my Lord burn hot.

You know the people.

They are bent on evil.

They said to me, make us gods, who shall come before us.

For as this man, Moses, we don't know what happened to him.

Verse 24, so I said to them, whoever is gold, take it off.
