Verse 7. Okay. Church in Lafayette, Louisiana. Verse seven,

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain,

for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

So a number of these, there's a way we're used to reading this and it's usually wrong

right or at least incomplete or a little weak right um so what this meant when i grew up basically

was that you weren't allowed to say

God or a certain selection of other words directly related to God as an expletive.

There were a whole bunch of other expletives that were okay because they were overtly religious

right number one and number two you could say sort of versions of it like gosh durn it

see it's better because i changed a couple of letters.

Right?

I like boys.

Yeah.

Right.

I hate to tell you that's not what this is about.

That's not what this is about. I'm not afraid to be controversial, so I'll do it again.

The issue with expletives is not the words. Right? We have this idea there's bad words. And

interestingly, everybody's list of bad words is a little different, usually based

on the family they grew up in.
