We'll go ahead and get started, and when we get started, which shouldn't be too long

from me saying this, we're going to be picking up in Exodus chapter 20, verse 18.

And I say it's not going to be that long from now because this is going to be a quick recap

because last time we talked about the Ten Commandments.

Now there's only sort of nine of them, but we went through them.

But I'm not going through them again because that wouldn't be a recap.

That would just be repeating ourselves.

So that's what we talked about last time and how the Ten Commandments are sort of a microcosm

or a summary in a certain sense of what now the whole covenant with Israel is going to be. So what we're

going to get now in part, there's going to be a whole bunch of things through the rest of the Torah.

There'll be a whole bunch of different kinds of things. There's still going to be narrative parts,

like the narratives we've been reading, where things are going to happen as Israel continues

through the desert. So there's

still going to be stories like that. There's also going to be now commandments that are going to be

sort of breaking down in more detail, the things that we saw summarized sort of the Ten Commandments.

There's also going to be liturgical instructions.

A big part of the rest of the book of Exodus, which everyone is going to thoroughly enjoy, I know,

is going to be the detailed instructions for building all the furniture for the tabernacle.
