Alex Hovechkin had a goal and an assist March 9th in the Caps lost in Buffalo, yada, yada,

yada, 143 days later, two goals and an assist in the exhibition game.

J.J. Regan, this dude picks up right where he left off. He's still on fire.

Yeah, it looks like he hadn't missed the

beat at all but we sort of expected this too of all the people who've been of all the players who we

monitored during the pause he was the one you know his personal trainer was basically locked in

with him at his house the whole time uh he was the one he looked like he was staying in shape, working out.

So it's not a total surprise to see him pick up where he left off, but it's encouraging

because whatever the caps hope to do, they can't do it without Ovech can lead in the way.

So it's good to see him pick up right where he left off.

And encouraging him sign, Rob, I found it interesting.

It's an exhibition game.

Who would have thought that the headliners and the superstars would step up like that,

but good on them.

It tells you it's different.

It's not your typical exhibition, your typical preseason.

The fact that he played the way he did in a game like this,

this really was a real tune-up and good on him and some

of the other headliners were taken seriously. Yeah, that's Ben Raby's voice and Ben. The one big

concern, though, coming out of this, which I thought the caps played pretty well. There's a

couple of things that I was happy with, the power played not being one of those things. But
